Dubai: The weather will turn nasty again in the UAE from Saturday as warm north-westerly winds are expected to blow in dust and make the seas very rough.

The weather bureau has warned of blowing dust until Wednesday across the country and a marine warning will be on from Sunday as wave heights could reach up to 14 feet offshore.

The only good thing about the near gale winds is that the temperatures will drop by three degree Celsius, said Hamad Ahmed Al Ansari, the weatherman at Sharjah Airport. The average temperature will be 23 degree Celsius and the night time temperature is expected to be around 17 degree Celsius.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully because of the blowing dust and visibility will be around 1,200 metres in the open areas.

Hazy conditions prevailed on Friday, but that did not deter people from enjoying their weekend and scores of families could be seen at parks in Dubai enjoying their barbecues. Friday night will be fine and settled. There is no risk of fog in the mornings as the temperature is dropping and the humidity is not high.

The forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday is partly cloudy and dusty but visibility will be high at around 3,000 meters.
