Al Ain: The spell of scattered thunderstorms and rain is yet to be over as Thursday's weather forecast indicates chances of towering clouds.

These clouds are likely to appear over eastern and internal emirates with lightning at times, said the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).

Forecasters expect unsettled weather for the next three days but with lower intensity.

Residents of Al Ain and its surrounding areas experienced rain and thunderstorm on Wednesday. Intermittent showers and lightning continued until early on Thursday morning. A similar situation was reported from Ghantoot, Suwaihan, and Al Nahil, a town sout-west of Al Ain.

According to the NCMS forecast, the weather will be partly cloudy on Thursday in some areas with chances of towering clouds at time. Light to moderately rough winds will blow in general that may kick up dust and sand in some internal areas. Sea is likely to be rough.
