A weather alert has been issued by the national weather bureau advising sailors and fishermen to stay on the coast. Light rain is also expected, especially in the north of the country, and conditions could become windy in some areas.
The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said winds that can kick up dust and sand are likely to become strong by night in the western region of Abu Dhabi. The maximum daytime temperature will hover around 32C, dropping down to 17C at night.
