Abu Dhabi: A woman died and two others sustained moderate injuries in a car accident yesterday on the Abu Dhabi-Sweihan road before the Al Kobri Bridge going towards Abu Dhabi.
"The driver lost control when another vehicle, coming from the opposite direction suddenly crossed into his path without noticing the approaching traffic," said Colonel Nasser Al Beloushi, director of Traffic and Patrols in the outer regions.
"A 28-year-old Emirati woman died instantly. The other two Emirati women, aged 20 and 23, received first aid at the scene. The two women and the driver were rushed to Twam Hospital in Al Ain for further medical care," said Al Beloushi, who called on motorists to obey speed limits and road rules.
