Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Police Vehicle Registration Department has conducted technical tests on 6,274 vehicles with expired registrations since Sunday.
Lieutenant Colonel Suhail Saeed Al Khili, head of the vehicle licensing section, said: "We have increased the number of staff across all 12 Abu Dhabi vehicle registration offices to handle the likely increase of vehicles coming in."
Al Khili urged all vehicle owners to register their vehicles before the deadline ends, which is in early June, to avoid the impounding of their cars.
