Fujairah: The Fujairah Appeal Court has upheld a lower court sentence of an Afghan of six months in jail and a fine of Dh600,000 as diya for causing the death of three Emiratis in a traffic accident.
Last month, the Fujairah Traffic Court ruled that the truck driver, T.A.Kh., from Afghanistan, caused the three-vehicle pile up on the Towayeen-Dibba road on February 23 by entering the road without making sure it was clear of traffic.
S.H.S., an Emirati, was the first to crash his car against the truck and died immediately.
