The international licence costs Dh100 and are valid overseas.

Applicants have to provide two passport photographs, present a valid UAE licence and, if applying on behalf of another, a photocopy of the applicant's passport. The entire process takes just five minutes.

"This is yet another value-added service from Tasjeel which has already made a name for itself for providing fast, efficient and convenient services," said Hussain Sultan, ENOC Group Chief Executive and Board member.

"This service comes just in time to meet the summer vacation rush and will greatly assist our customer base."

Tasjeel has expanded its range of services. It is taking over Dubai Police car registration counters and will shortly accept cash receipts for traffic police services, in line with the government policy to phase in privatisation.

"New counters have been built at the Ghusais and Al Barsha sites to handle all registration services, creating 38 new jobs," said Ayas Bin Hindi, Manager, Tasjeel.

"We have also introduced a state-of-the-art queuing system to avoid crowding.

"These advanced facilities will streamline the registration process, giving customers a hassle-free, one-stop-shop for all their vehicle requirements."

For insurance renewal, plasma screens have been installed with a range of insurance companies and their rates to let customers select the policy that best suits them.

The on-site Fix Plus auto repair centres now also carry out tests after servicing, cutting out the need for drivers to take their vehicles back to Tasjeel.
