Dubai: Police announced that four stationary radars have been activated at the Airport tunnel on both sides to catch reckless drivers in coordination with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

Brigadier Eisa Aman, Acting Director of Dubai Police's Traffic Department, said the department has taken steps to strengthen the radar system. He said the focus is on roads that witness speeding offences and serious traffic accidents.

He said traffic statistics showed there have been a number of accidents inside the tunnel because motorists did not abide by speed limits. Brigadier Aman called on motorists to abide by the speed limit, which is 80km/hr.
