Abu Dhabi: An accident involving a police patrol car and at least five other vehicles nearly stopped the traffic on the Airport road around 8.30 pm on Tuesday.

A stretch of the Airport road got heavily clogged following the accident.

"The accident was not a major one, but several cars were involved because it happened during the rush hour," a police official confirmed.

No serious injuries or damage has been reported.
