Sharjah: Sharjah Police have urged drivers to pay their traffic fines before the April 30 deadline if they want to avail of the 50 per cent discount offer.
Police said the discount period will not be extended and once it is over, the police will carry out inspections on various vital roads in the emirate to seize violating vehicles.
The discount is only applicable on fines issued before December 28, 2011, when the initiative was announced. Any traffic violation after the set date will not be discounted.
Police have called on motorists to take advantage of the remaining days of the discount period to settle their fines.
