Motorist slams into motorcyclist killing him
A Bangladeshi national died on Wednesday on Al Rafa'a Street in Al Jazeera Al Hamra here when an elderly Emirati hit his motorcycle.
Ras Al Khaimah: A Bangladeshi national died on Wednesday on Al Rafa'a Street in Al Jazeera Al Hamra here when an elderly Emirati hit his motorcycle.
The 24-year-old victim Sayer Jawad Meyah was on his motorcycle on the right lane of the street when the 60-year-old Emirati identified as A.J. slammed into him with his vehicle.
Lieutenant Colonel Saeed Al Jeeda, who heads the Traffic Section at the Traffic and Licensing Department, said the car of the elderly Emirati hit the victim from the back. He added that the victim suffered fatal injuries, and the motorcycle was badly damaged.
The medics pronounced the victim dead on the accident scene and referred his body to the Police Morgue where the Public Prosecutor authorised the delivery of the victim's dead body to his family for burial.
