Installation for Red Line of Dubai Metro completed ahead of schedule
The Roads and Transport Authority said the viaduct installation for the Red Line of the Dubai Metro Project has been completed ahead of schedule.
Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority said the viaduct installation for the Red Line of the Dubai Metro Project has been completed ahead of schedule.
The 46.5 km viaduct superstructure for the Red Line was officially completed with the last span in Al Garhoud, opposite Al Bustan Rotana Hotel.
The elevated section has 1,324 viaduct spans. Adnan Al Hammadi, Director of Rail Construction Projects, said: “The most significant consideration for the design of the Metro viaducts is the adaptability of the method of construction to suit the site conditions and constraints."
The first viaduct superstructure was completed on November 2006 in Al Quoz area.
