Eight dead in road accidents over two days

At least six deaths have been reported in a spate of accidents over the past two days in Abu Dhabi. Most of the victims were pedestrians who were hit while trying to cross the roads.

Abu Dhabi/Dubai: At least six deaths have been reported in a spate of accidents over the past two days in Abu Dhabi. Most of the victims were pedestrians who were hit while trying to cross the roads.

In Dubai, two women were killed in separate accidents over the weekend.

Abu Dhabi Police recently warned that road fatalities in the UAE were assuming alarming proportions.
