Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has changed some public bus routes with the opening of the new metro stations to improve transport facilities for commuters.

Mohammad Al Hashemi Director of Business Development at the RTA's Public Transport Agency, said: "The route changes introduced, whether being addition, modification or termination of some routes, come in the context of offering passengers better, efficient and comfortable services well integrated with various public transport modes."

Among the key routes introduced is Route F18 starting from the Business Bay Metro Station to Umm Al Sheif via Jumeirah 2 and 3; Route F20 starting from the Business Bay Metro Station and back to the Business Bay Metro Station via Al Wasl and Al Safa 1, and Route F25 starting from First Gulf Bank Metro Station and back to First Gulf Bank Metro Station via Al Quoz Industrial Area 3 and 4.

Route F28 is set to start from First Gulf Bank Metro Station and back to First Gulf Bank Metro Station via Umm Suqeim 2 and 3, Route F32 to start from Nakheel Metro Station to Dubai Internet City Metro Station via Knowledge Village, and Route F39 to start from Nakheel Metro Station to Dubai Media City Metro Station via Dubai Internet City.

Rerouting

Rerouting included Route 13A to pass from Gold Souk Station to Al Qusais Station via Al Nahdah 2; Route(22 to pass from Al Nahdah 1 via Al Nahdah 2, and Route C3 to pass from Al Karama Bus Station to Hor Al Anz Bus Station.

He added that Routes F25A, F32A and F39A have been abolished.
