Dubai: Fast-paced roads across Dubai have claimed the lives of several more motorists, Dubai Police confirmed.

Three were killed and two severely injured in traffic accidents that took place over the past few days, a Dubai Traffic Police official said.

Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of Dubai Traffic Police, told Gulf News that a truck swerved sudddenly and flipped over on Saturday at 7pm on Umm Suqeim Road heading in the Arabian Ranches’ direction. The single-vehicle accident killed the driver, said Col Al Mazroui.

On Sunday, a man was killed in a two-truck collision in Jebel Ali Port at 11.45pm.

An Emirati man sustained serious injuries on Monday in a two-vehicle collision on Al Aweer-Al Habab Road at around 10.15am.

The man was transferred to hospital for treatment.

His condition was not known at press time.

Also on Monday, an Emirati man died and another was seriously injured when the driver lost control and the car they were in swerved and hit the metal barrier.
