Dubai: More than a dozen participants including individuals and teams from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) were honoured for their innovation and research in the first RTA Award for Scientific Research.

More than a dozen participants lauded at the RTA Scientific research award
The award is part of RTA’s efforts to identify talented and experienced employees in order to better utilise their potential and improve the level of efficiency in RTA’s work.
Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of RTA, decorated the winners including Haitham Abdul Razak from the Marine Department and Sarah Ishaaq Mohammad from the Strategic Planning Department who jointly topped the awards for their projects utilising solar energy in air-conditioned bus shelters and attitudes of Dubai Metro riders, respectively.
Kamal Mohammad Adeer from Rail Projects Planning and Development Department finished second for submitting research entitled: RTA Efforts in Saving Power Consumption in Dubai Metro Project.
