Sharjah: A 20-year-old man was killed and five others were injured in a car accident in Sharjah on Friday night
The accident took place at around 1am on the Nazwa-Al Dhaid Road near Maleiha area, police said on Saturday.
Police said that the accident happened when the vehicle carrying six people turned over several times and was badly damaged due to speeding.
The accident left one Emirati dead and five injured. The injured were taken to hospital. The injured, aged between 18-24, sustained minor to moderate injuries.
a police official said that the vehicle carried no number plate and the driver also did not carry a driving licence. The vehicle’s engine was also modified. The body of the victim was handed over to his family for burial.
