Dubai: Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram will observe their regular timings for the National Day holidays, beginning December 2, while the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced changes to its other services, including free parking until Friday, December 5.

Parking across all paid parking zones, except Fish Market, will be free from Tuesday to Friday, while all the RTA customer service centres will remain closed until Saturday.

On Tuesday and Wednesday Dubai Metro will operate from 5.30am to 12 midnight and on Thursday it will operate until 1am.

Dubai Tram will also operate according to its regular timings between 6.30am and 1.30am.

“All Customer Service Centres will be closed during the National Day holiday starting from Tuesday, December 2, and resume service on Sunday, December 7,” said Moza Al Merri, Director of RTA’s Marketing and Corporate Communication.

Vehicle testing and registration centres will also remain closed from December 2 to December 5, resuming services on Saturday, December 6.

She added that other public transport services, such as buses and marine transport, will operate on extended hours.

Main public transport stations, including Gold Souq and Al Ghubaiba, will start operations at 5am and continue service until 12 midnight.

Subsidiary stations, such as Satwa, al Ghusais, Quoz Industrial Area, and Jebel Ali, will operate from 5.45am to 11pm, with the exception of C01 Route which will be operational round-the-clock.

Stations of feeder bus services at Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa, Etisalat, and Abu Hail will start service from 5.15am up to 12.10am.

The inter-city bus service will also remain mostly unchanged with the main stations, such as Al Ghubaiba operating round-the-clock, and subsidiary stations, such as Sabkha, Union Square, Deira City Centre and Karama, operating from 6am to 12 midnight.

Sharjah (Jubail – Bur Dubai) routes will be in service 24 hours, while the Abu Dhabi route will operate from 5am to 1am. The Fujairah route will run from 6.35am to 9.35pm while the Ajman route will work from 5.30am to 10pm. The Dubai-Hatta route will be operational between 6am and 9pm.

The marine services will operate as per regular schedule, with water buses running between 10am and 11pm at the Creek and between 12 noon and 12 midnight at Dubai Marina.

Electric abras will be available for rides during the National Day holiday at the Global Village from 4pm to 1am, at Burj Khalifa from 4pm to 11.30pm, at Mamzar Station from 4pm to 12 midnight, while at Atlantis, the service will be available from 1pm to 9pm.

Conventional abras will operate at the Creek as per the regular schedule.
