Smokers who give up habit to bring home prizes in campaign
Dubai Healthcare City launches month-long anti-tobacco drive.
Dubai: Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) on Saturday announced the launching of a community-wide Quit & Win campaign, a global smoking cessation programme that has to date drawn the participation of nearly eight million smokers from over 90 countries.
DHCC's month-long initiative aims to contribute to mitigating the number of smokers worldwide, who currently number over a billion with approximately 500 million anticipated to die of smoking related diseases, according to latest industry estimates.
Commemorating the World No Tobacco Day, the campaign will advocate May 31 to June 28 as the Quit Smoking Period.
Registration for the campaign started last Thursday and will go on until May 30. Focusing on empowering people to change their habits and attitude towards smoking, the programme provides motivational support, education and counselling.
People who successfully quit smoking during the month-long programme will be entered into a draw to win major prizes.
Participants wishing to register for the Quit & Win campaign can visit its kiosk at BurJuman Centre, or at Dr Sulaiman Al Habib's Clinic in DHCC. Entry forms are also available at the DHCC head office in Building number 27.
More information can be accessed by visiting the www.notobaccocampaign.com website or by calling 800-423 5684.

Well, congratulation for campaign, as many quitters as possible, I have a question, Dubai only? when in other cities?
