Meeting discusses cooperation in training, continuous medical education
Dubai: The Ministry of Health received Professor Melih Us, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Istanbul Surgery Hospital and Gediz Balkanay, CEO of the hospital to discuss cooperation in attracting medical consultants and advisors to provide treatment and checkup for critical cases in the ministry’s health facilities.
The meeting discussed cooperation in training, continuous medical education and benefit from common experiences in implementing various health programmes that would satisfy the needs of patients in all categories.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mahmoud Fikri, Assistant Undersecretary for Health Policies, Awad Sagheer Al Kitbi, Assistant Undersecretary for Institutional and Supporting Services, Nasser Khalifa Al Budoor, Assistant Undersecretary and Director of Dubai Medical District and Dr. Mostafa Al Hashemi, Acting Director of Dubai Medical District and Director of Overseas Consultants Programme in the Ministry of Health.
They reviewed investment opportunities in the UAE and the role of the ministry of health in the health sector. Professor US and accompanied delegation got acquainted to the general guidelines of the ministry, regulations and rules of the health facilities in the UAE.
The meeting also emphasized the possibilities of organising common training workshops in various medical specializations to raise the qualifications and skills of the ministry’s human resources.
