Dubai: Pink Caravan’s message of ‘awareness is the first step towards a cure’ has found another advocate in Microsoft Gulf which became the 23rd company to support the initiative by hosting a Wellness Day this month. With the latest success in its awareness drive, Pink Caravan’s dedicated team has redoubled its efforts as October — the international breast cancer awareness month — draws to a close.

Commenting on their involvement in the ‘Turn the UAE Pink’ initiative, Elaine Kelly, Middle East and Africa area portfolio manager of Facilities at Microsoft, said, “As one of the world’s truly global corporations, Microsoft takes its public responsibilities very seriously. We have an enduring commitment to supporting the community as our company has grown, this commitment has extended far beyond our own products and services and has been amplified many times over through our network of partners, including governments, nonprofits and other organisations. For this reason we are extremely pleased to have been able to contribute to the efforts of the Pink Caravan, through hosting a Wellness Day.

“The response received from both employees and visitors have been overwhelmingly positive. The Pink Caravan’s medical staff were helpful, knowledgeable and highly approachable making the entire experience both informative and comforting,” she added.
