Free health consultations in various Gulf countries planned after labourers in Dubai's Sonapur get free check-up
Dubai: More than 550 people living in labour accommodation in Sonapur were screened for hypertension, diabetes, and other general medical conditions when Dubai's Aster Medical Centres and hospital gave free, extended medical consultations on Friday.
The health checks took place from 8am to 2pm at Al Ghandi Auto's staff accommodation.
DM Healthcare said it would conduct similar free health consultations at labour accommodations in various Gulf countries.
A total of 12 doctors of varying specialities, plus paramedics and more than 50 volunteers from Aster Medical Centres and Hospital in Dubai, were there to help make the mission successful.
Dignitaries at the health session included the Honourable Consul General of India Shri. Sanjay Verma, DM Healthcare chairman Dr Azad Moupen, senior staff from Dubai Municipality, and staff from DM Healthcare, and Al Ghandi Auto.
Shri. Sanjay Verma, emphasised the importance of preventive healthcare which was important to make time for amid people's busy schedules. He urged members of the public to take advantage of the health screening sessions.
DM Healthcare chairman Dr Azad Moupen said that the people screened would be further supported with free or subsidised ongoing healthcare through Aster Medical Centres and Hospitals.
