Daman begins online patient insurance verification system
New programme to be used by health care providers across UAE
Abu Dhabi: National Health Insurance Company, Daman — one of the leading health insurance companies in the region — has launched an electronic eligibility system for their health insurance operations.
The new system will be implemented and managed by Waseel and will offer hospitals, clinics and pharmacies operating within Daman's network of health-care providers with a quick electronic verification solution.
Daman's Chief Executive Officer, Dr Michael Bitzer, said: "Through our partnership with Waseel, we can now offer providers in the UAE a powerful tool to electronically extract information related to a patient's specific Daman plan... Providers can verify eligibility by using the patient's Daman card number for an instant response."
It is expected that more than 700 health care providers in the Emirate will implement the new system following training sessions conducted by Daman and Waseel.
