Campaign launched for healthier lifestyle

Dubai: Dubai Municipality on Wednesday launched a new health campaign under the slogan "Together for a healthier lifestyle" that provides free medical check ups and consultations for walkers.

The inaugural ceremony, held at the Jogging Track at Al Khawaneej, was attended by Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality and senior officials of the municipality.

The check ups and consultations were offered by the medical staff of the Clinic and Medical Services Section of the Public Health Services Department of the Municipality in collaboration with doctors and specialists from outside the municipality.

The campaign activities were continued till Thursday and will be extended to Al Safa, Al Mamzar, Jumeirah Open Beach, Al Twar-1 and Al Twar-3 parks next month.

The municipality will also conduct special workshops on walking exercises, as it has established a set of public parks spread in different areas of Dubai which can be utilised by residents.
