Anti-obesity drive in schools
The Ministry of Health is finalising a development plan as well as pre-school health programmes for next school year
Sharjah: The health ministry is preparing several programmes to tackle obesity in schools, a statement released on Friday said.
According to Dr Mahmoud Fikri, Executive Director for Health Policies, the Ministry of Health is finalising a development plan as well as pre-school health programmes for next school year
In addition to the enhancement of anti-smoking and anti-obesity programmes, the plan will also include the promotion of physical education in coordination with the Ministry of Education and the UN International Children's Emergency Fund.
