Municipality inspectors seized 346 law violators including street vendors, beggars and illegal car washers in December 2012.
Obaid Ebrahim Marzouqi, Head of Markets Management Section at Dubai Municipality, said that the inspection campaign also resulted in the seizure of several low-quality goods and pirated CDs.
Last month, Dubai Municipality and police caught 235 street vendors, 97 beggars and 14 car washers, and a total of 1,644 counterfeit products were seized including 785 pirated CDs, 308 tobacco products, 250 ready-made garments, 263 foodstuff items and eight alcoholic drinks, he added.
