Vice-President respected for leadership, humanitarian outlook and big heart
As the UAE marks the second anniversary of the accession of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, his pictures adorn every corner of the emirates and buildings are lit up in his honour.

Dubai: As the UAE marks the second anniversary of the accession of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, his pictures adorn every corner of the emirates and buildings are lit up in his honour.
The leader was able in this short time to make it an era of milestone developments in the history of the UAE.
Shaikh Mohammad's pictures are held high by people on this occasion, people who respect and cherish this great leader for his great traits of leadership, humanitarian outlook and big heart.

His other traits are his great interest in spreading knowledge, charity, aid to the poor and under privileged and development. Shaikh Mohammad launched Dubai Cares, a campaign, which aims to fund the education of poor children worldwide because of his belief in the human right in acquiring knowledge and enlightenment.
The campaign aimed to reach one million deprived children, because of his great vision. One of Shaikh Mohammad's great achievements was the establishment of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation for translating, printing and publishing studies and scientific research, as well as adopting Arab and Islamic scholars, assisting them to reach higher levels of knowledge and research. Shaikh Mohammad allocated Dh 36 billion ($10 billion) for this project.
The great changes in the country's economy, administration, education, health care and IT sciences was also the fruit of his wide ranging vision which overcomes barriers and spawned new ideas.
Shaikh Mohammad also set out to draw a strategic plan for Dubai and later for the Federal Government, which reflected a sharp insight and future vision for the UAE and its people.
Two years saw resplendent leadership, filled with goodness and greatness. It is the UAE's right to be proud of its leader who sets a model for those who value success - those who will accept nothing less than to plough the sea and reap victory.
