Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, offered Eid Al Fitr prayers yesterday morning at the Za’beel Mosque in Dubai.

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince; Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance; and Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, offered Eid prayers alongside Shaikh Mohammad.

Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group; Shaikh Majid Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, other shaikhs, senior officials and residents also attended the prayer. All the worshippers invoked Allah to bestow divine peace and prosperity on the country.

The Eid sermon was delivered by Imam Shaikh Omar Al Khatib, who prayed to Allah Almighty to accept the fasting of Muslims during Ramadan. He also talked about happiness during Eid and pointed out charity works and all the aid and assistance presented by the UAE to poor people across the globe.

Their Highnesses the UAE Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the various emirates also attended prayer sessions in their respective emirates.

In Sharjah, His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, attended the Eid Al Fitr prayers at Al Badee Musallah, with Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Sharjah Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler; Shaikh Abdullah Bin Salim Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Sharjah Deputy Ruler; other shaikhs and senior officials.

A large number of citizens turned out for the prayers. The Eid sermon was delivered by Dr Shaikh Mohammad Gaith Al Waid, where he pointed out the importance of avoiding temptation and fads. He also called the worshippers to hold onto Allah’s Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

In Fujairah, His Highness Shaikh Hamad Bin Mohammad Al Sharqi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, offered Eid prayers at the Grand Eid Musallah in the middle of Fujairah.

Shaikh Mohammad Bin Hamad Bin Mohammad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, other shaikhs, senior officials and residents also attended the prayer session. All the worshippers prayed to Allah to bestow prosperity on the country.

The Eid prayers were led by Imam Shaikh Hamad Al Kindi. During the sermon, Al Kindi spoke about the noble values of Ramadan and reminded worshippers that Eid is a great occasion for lifting the sorrows of people and helping out those who need help and assistance.

In Ajman, His Highness Shaikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, offered Eid prayers at the Shaikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Mosque.

Shaikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, offered the Eid prayers along with the ruler, other shaikhs, senior officials and a large number of local people.

The prayers were led by Imam Shaikh Hussain Mo’en Al Hosni, Director of the Islamic Science Institute in Ajman.

During the sermon, Al Hosni said that one of the good deeds greatly loved in Islam is to help the needy and to become charitable all through the year.

In Ras Al Khaimah, Shaikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and Shaikh Mohammad Bin Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ras Al Khaimah Crown Prince, offered Eid Al Fitr prayers at the Grand Khuzam prayer yard.

The prayers were led by Imam Shaikh Ahmad Mohammad Al Shehi, who emphasised the great value of forgiveness between everyone and to have good relations with family members, neighbours, friends, and colleagues.

In Umm Al Quwain, His Highness Shaikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, offered Eid prayers at the Shaikh Zayed Mosque.

Shaikh Rashid Bin Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain, other Shaikhs, senior officials, UAE nationals and Arab and Islamic expatriates also offered their eid prayers alongside the ruler.

Imam Shaikh Ebrahim Al Mansouri led the prayers, where he emphasised during his sermon the importance of this day in strengthening family ties and renewing friendship bonds with brothers and friends.

In Abu Dhabi, General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, offered Eid Al Fitr prayers at the Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

Lieutenant-General Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister; Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser; other Shaikhs, senior officials, dignitaries, UAE nationals, and expatriates also performed Eid prayers alongside Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed.

In his Eid sermon, Adviser Sayid Ali Al Hashemi said that during this festive time, people must express their gratitude and thanks to their creator by being charitable and helping out the needy and deprived.
