UAE renews support for Palestinian cause
Khalifa reaffirms importance of reconciliation

- Shaikh Khalifa receives Esmail Haniya and the Palestinian delegation in the presence of Shaikh Mohammad at Diyafa Palace in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
Abu Dhabi: The UAE reiterated its support for the Palestinian people until they regain their legitimate rights and establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international laws.
This statement was made by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan as he received Esmail Haniya, Gaza Prime Minister, in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at Al Diyafa Palace in Mushrif yesterday. Haniya, accompanied by a delegation, is currently on a visit to the UAE as part of a regional tour.
Shaikh Khalifa reaffirmed the importance of Palestinian unity in the face of challenges that may hinder their efforts for the Palestinian cause. Haniya briefed Shaikh Khalifa on the latest developments in Palestine and efforts to achieve reconciliation and regain the Palestinian unity.
Haniya appreciated the continuous support through humanitarian and charitable projects undertaken by the UAE to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians. He wished the UAE more progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of Shaikh Khalifa.
Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and other Shaikhs and senior officials were present.
