Al Ain: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan received well-wishers, including shaikhs, senior officials and crowds of Emirati citizens who came to offer their greetings on the occasion of Ramadan in Al Ain Monday.
Receiving them alongside the President were General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region and Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region.
Also present were Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, other sheikhs and senior officials. The President held an iftar banquet in honour of his guests.

Shaikh Khalifa Monday received congratulatory cables from Arab Presidents, Kings and Emirs on the occasion of Ramadan.
Shaikh Khalifa received congratulatory cables from Kuwaiti Emir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber, King Abdullah II of Jordan, Iraqi President Jalal Talabani, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Lebanese President Michel Sulaiman, Field Marshall Mohammad Hussain Tantawi, Head of the Egyptian Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, and Shaikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait.
Shaikh Khalifa exchanged Ramadan greetings with Qaboos Bin Saeed of Oman during a telephone conversation. Shaikh Khalifa also received a telephone call from head of Hamas Politburo Khalid Mishaal who offered Ramadan greetings.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received similar cables from the Kuwaiti Emir, Palestinian President, Head of the Egyptian Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, Kuwaiti Crown Prince, and Saeed Fahd Bin Mahmoud Al Saeed, Deputy Prime Minister of Oman.
