Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan yesterday received condolences from Their Highnesses the Rulers of the Emirates, shaikhs and senior state officials who expressed deep-felt grief on the death of Shaikh Mubarak Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan.
His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, His Highness Shaikh Hamad Bin Mohammad Al Sharqi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, His Highness Shaikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain and His Highness Shaikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman were among those who visited Shaikh Khalifa at Al Bateen Palace to offer condolences.
Shaikh Khalifa also received a cable of condolence from President Abdullah Saleh of Yemen.
Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, as well as the crown princes and deputy rulers, also offered condolences to Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region.
The President's Representative Shaikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and other Shaikhs joined Shaikh Khalifa in receiving the visitors who arrived to offer condolences and prayers.
Shaikh Khalifa also received Shaikh Hamad Bin Jasem Bin Jabr Al Thani, Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs who called on the President to convey the condolences of Shaikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar on the death of Shaikh Mubarak.
Also present were Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed, Shaikh Sultan Bin Zayed, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and other Shaikhs.
Amr Mousa, Secretary-General of the Arab League, issued a communiqué in which he extended his deep condolences to Shaikh Khalifa and the family of the deceased.
