UAE, Kazakhstan explore scope for joint projects to boost ties
Khalifa holds talks with nazarbayev on issues of mutual concern

- Shaikh Khalifa along with Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid and Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed yesterday welcomed Nursultan Nazarbayev, who is on a visit to the UAE.
Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan, at Al Mushrif Palace yesterday.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, were also present.
Shaikh Khalifa welcomed Nazarbayev and expressed his wish for stronger bilateral relations. They discussed mutual cooperation and ways to enhance it to serve the interests of both nations in the field of investment, economy, and tourism.
Shaikh Khalifa and Nazarbayev exchanged views on most recent developments at the regional and international level, as well as issues of mutual concern.
Nazarbayev welcomed the idea of setting up projects jointly by the UAE and Kazakhstan. Shaikh Khalifa hosted a lunch banquet in honour of Nazarbayev and his delegation.
Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region, and other Shaikhs, ministers and senior officials were also present.
Ties with Qatar
Meanwhile, Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, received a handwritten letter from Shaikh Hamad Bin Jasem Al Thani, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.
The letter deals with ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and to develop them in the interests of the march of the GCC.The letter was delivered to Shaikh Mohammad when he received Abdullah Bin Mohammad Al Othman, Qatari Ambassador to the UAE, yesterday in Al Marmoum area.
