Abu Dhabi: Two new ministers were inducted into the UAE cabinet after a minor shuffle, which was approved by the President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, WAM reported on Friday.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the shuffle, the third to the seventh cabinet formed in 2006.

Hussain Bin Ebrahim Al Hammadi became the new minister of education and Sultan Bin Saeed Al Badi takes over as the new minister of justice. Al Hammadi took over the reins of the education ministry from Humaid Mohammad Obaid Al Qutami, while Al Badi replaced Dr Hadef Ju’an Al Daheri.

Shaikh Khalifa wished all success to the new ministers and conveyed his appreciation to the former ministers who served their country well during their tenure.

Born in 1966, Al Hammadi graduated from Embry-Riddle University in the US and held several positions in the educational field. They include chairman of the board of trustees of the Institute of Applied Technology as well as chairman of the board of directors of the Institute of Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training.  He was also a member of the board of directors of the National Authority for Qualifications and a board member of Khalifa University.

Al Badi was born in 1963 and obtained a law degree from Emirates University. He served as Undersecretary of Abu Dhabi Judicial Department. In addition, Al Badi served as Deputy Prosecutor in Al Ain and was also tasked with the duties of the chief of judiciary in Abu Dhabi.
