Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has urged ministers to boost the union by focusing on local human resources development, which is the core of federal government strategy under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

For the second day in row, the Cabinet on Friday discussed at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort the strategies of the ministries of Health and Social Affairs, following the briefings from Minister of Health Dr Hanif Hassan and Social Affairs Minister Mariam Al Roumi.

Chaired by Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid, the Council of Ministers discussed the medical services and healthcare achievements in the UAE. It also examined the developmental programmes of the social care system.

Shaikh Mohammad later gave the ministers a break. Accompanied by Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Affairs Minister, Shaikh Mohammad planted 22 Ghaf trees around Qasr Al Sarab Resort to mark the Cabinet meeting being held at the resort.

The Vice President planted the first tree and each minister planted a tree. The 22 trees formed the UAE map, representing the union.

The Cabinet members also took part in different sports activities.
