Dubai: A plethora of exciting and spectacular events and community-based activities will be lined up to celebrate the UAE’s 41st National Day within the UAE and abroad starting from November 25 up to December 3, the National Day Committee announced yesterday.

In its first meeting yesterday chaired by Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, the committee discussed a number of issues including contents of the official logo and website of the grand day, programmes and events, and proposed concept of the call centre. The date of launching the National Day website was also discussed.

The National Day Committee, in association with representatives from all seven emirates, has planned a series of exciting events, projects and programmes stretching across the nation, to promote the national identity and salute the nation’s rich history, culture, and achievements.

Al Owais urged members of the committee to pay more attention to the quality of events this year to match the prominence of the UAE and the glorious event. The meeting approved the formation of sub-committees for media, events, and follow up and coordination.

The National Day Committee has been established to coordinate the National Programme of Celebrations on the occasion of the UAE National Day.
