Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received on Monday at Zaabeel Palace Queen Beatrix of Netherlands and her accompanying delegation.
Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, and Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, were present.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and Netherlands, and ways to enhance them in various fields.
Shaikh Mohammad reaffirmed the importance of Queen Beatrix's visit, which sets up opening wider avenues of cultural, political and economic cooperation between the two nations.
Queen Beatrix praised the UAE and the qualitative urban development its witnessing under the its wise leadership, and pointed out Dubai's global reputation and success story, which she said have become a model for development on the national level.
The meeting was attended by Mohammad Ahmad Al Murr, Speaker of the Federal National Council, Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, and other ministers and senior officials.
