Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai received former US president Bill Clinton at the Dubai Media Office on Wednesday morning.

During the meeting, a number of humanitarian, cultural, and political issues were discussed. Shaikh Mohammad and Clinton also discussed current issues in the Arab region and the necessity of bringing together international efforts for establishing stability and peace throughout the region.

Clinton praised the development witnessed by the UAE in general and Dubai in particular, pointing out that it is an international cosmopolitan city that represents a model for creativity and distinction in all development, humanitarian, and social and cultural harmony aspects between different community members.

He also mentioned the success story of Dubai in development, economic diversity and investment thanks to vision of Shaikh Mohammad and his belief in the abilities of his people to create and achieve in different sectors.

Shaikh Mohammad presented his guest with an English copy of his book My Vision which includes his outlook and personal experience in politics, economy, culture, horsemanship, and his positive view for the future of his country and people.

The meeting was also attended by Mohammad Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs.
