Manama: General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Wednesday met King Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa of Bahrain.
He conveyed greetings from President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his wishes for Bahrain and its people.
Shaikh Mohammad renewed the UAE’s supportive stand and complete solidarity with Bahrain in its efforts to undermine criminal designs that threaten the country and its security.
He reiterated the UAE’s support to the latest firm measures that were recently taken by Bahraini authorities to thwart the criminal plans aiming at destabilising the country and harming its national unity. Shaikh Mohammad expressed hope Bahrain would remain an oasis of security and peace, wishing its people more progress and prosperity.
“Whatever threatens and prejudices Bahrain’s security, it threatens the UAE and its security,” Shaikh Mohammad said.
King Hamad expressed his profound gratitude and thanks to Shaikh Khalifa and Shaikh Mohammad for their honourable stances and solidarity with Bahrain in the face of criminal attempts threatening the country’s stability and security.
He asked Shaikh Mohammad to convey his greetings and wishes to Shaikh Khalifa. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them, and exchanged views on a number of issues and topics of mutual concern.
Shaikh Mohammad is accompanied by a delegation that includes sheikhs and senior officials.
