Umm Al Quwain: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, called on ministers and department heads to work hard and collectively to serve the country and protect its assets.

‘Like bees'

"I want ministries and departments to work like bees in a beehive," Shaikh Mohammad said during yesterday's meeting in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain.

The meeting included Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Shaikh Rashid Bin Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain, other Cabinet members and heads of local departments in Umm Al Quwain.

They discussed a number of national issues related to achieving a balanced development in educational, health and economic sectors, as well as in infrastructure and housing for the wellbeing of Emirati citizens across the country.

National goal

Shaikh Mohammad stressed his determination to achieve the UAE 2021 vision which aims to make the UAE one of the best countries in the world, considering this a national goal.

"Achieving this goal is a pledge by the government to President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan," Shaikh Mohammad said. "We are determined to fulfil this pledge," he added.

Shaikh Mohammad paid tribute to the founding leader — the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan under who's leadership the UAE made regional achievements after the federation was firmly established.

He underlined the importance of good management and accurate implementation of plans in view of the latest developments and changes.
