Dubai: The Ministry of Education has directed schools to develop a policy for school activities for the current school year, characterising it in a manner that ensures success as well as identifying their initiatives and activities that are in harmony with the ministry’s plans and activities to ensure their rich and distinguished outcome.

This came during a meeting of Amal Al Koos, Assistant Undersecretary of Activities and School Environment at the ministry, with department managers in the activities and school environment sector and heads of government communication and activities units in educational zones at the activities ministerial centre.

Hussain Ebrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, said that developing the policy has to be done in a set way for all those working in the sector, thus contributing in educational planning, policy-making and implementing of projects and initiatives for the next stage, bringing in views of best practices and methods of administrative and practical solutions to serve educational issues.

Amal confirmed Al Hammadi’s directives regarding the need to take care of school activities and events — making them unique, creative and innovative, comes through directing school districts to develop programmes and activities in a single template in line with the ministry’s plans.

She also explained that it is important to develop unified frameworks that control and delineate the features of joint work between the ministry and school districts in terms of identifying and unifying the visions of events and activities during the academic year in a manner that will result in a more appropriate and accurate manner and to achieve the maximum benefit from them.
