Rulers hail 34 years of achievements
His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, affirmed that the UAE leaders and people had pledged to forge ahead with their unique experiment to attain more achievements and gains.
Abu Dhabi: His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, affirmed that the UAE leaders and people had pledged to forge ahead with their unique experiment to attain more achievements and gains.
On the occasion of the 35th UAE National Day, Shaikh Sultan commended the constructive steps taken by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to entrench representative democracy with free elections to empower the Federal National Council (FNC) to play its role in national development.
In statements to Dira' Al Watan magazine, His Highness Shaikh Saqr Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, expressed satisfaction over the achievements made by the UAE throughout the 35 years of its existence as a unified nation.
Modern state
His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammad Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah said, "Each year brings along new achievements that add more bricks to the foundation laid down by the late Shaikh Zayed, which facilitated the miraculous transformation of our nation into a modern state."
His Highness Shaikh Rashid Bin Ahmad Al Mualla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain paid tribute to the achievements and progress by the UAE since the establishment of the Federation which he said "is a residing reminder that the late Shaikh Zayed will always be living among us."
The last three decades marked a glorious era in the UAE's history, said His Highness Shaikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council member and Ruler of Ajman.
Shaikh Humaid said: "Under the fine leadership of the late Shaikh Zayed, the UAE has evolved into one of history's most successful nation-building stories."
The Rulers congratulated the President on the happy occasion.
