Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, issued a resolution setting up a committee to follow-up the resolution of the President regarding the citizenship applications of children born to Emirati women married to foreigners. 

Resolution No. 27 of 2011 stipulates that the committee will be responsible for calculating the number of female Emirati children and implementing specifications and conditions for obtaining the citizenship. The committee will forward proposals related to this matter to the President. 

The committee will be chaired by the Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs. Membership will include representatives from the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, Supreme National Security Council, national security body and the Ministry of Interior. 

The resolution also gives the chairman of the committee the right to appoint any qualified individuals as members to help with the committee's duties. 

The resolution is to be implemented by the Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs, and comes into effect from the date of its issuance.
