Dubai: Government department heads have been instructed to concentrate on field work and the daily follow-up of any work related to their departments.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Tuesday attended part of the Executive Council meeting which was held at the Emirates Towers.

At the meeting chaired by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Shaikh Mohammad urged the Executive Council members to prioritise the rendering of services to the people, particularly in the health and education services and other vital services.

Strategy

Shaikh Mohammad participated in the deliberations which focused on the significance of the implementation of the Dubai Strategy for year 2010 regarding the health and education sectors.

The Executive Council discussed the level of current performance to ensure that the emirate is on track towards achieving the national strategic goals.

It also tackled proposals and initiatives that could help in decision taking and enhancing the government performance.

Tangible results

Shaikh Mohammad instructed the government department heads to concentrate on field work, and the daily follow up of any work related to their departments, to reach tangible results for the benefit of all.

Shaikh Mohammad lauded the efforts of the chairman and members of the council, wishing them all the best in serving the country.

The council discussed the balanced performance cards for different sectors included in the Dubai Strategic Plan of 2015.

A performance report sample was presented to the council, in addition to a number of main strategic issues.

Shaikh Hamdan hailed the participation of Shaikh Mohammad in the DEC sessions, deeming it as a motivation for exerting further efforts to achieve the higher national interests.
