Ras Al Khaimah: No plane was downed in Ras Al Khaimah, the police said on Tuesday, denying reports circulating on social media platforms. Major General Ali Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, said the video clip broadcast on social media was about a fire that broke out last night in a worker-accommodation complex. The fire incident was reported by media organisations. He said he was shocked at the publication of these irresponsible rumours by some members of the community, which caused confusion among people. He warned against unleashing such rumours.
“The police have already launched an investigation to identify the source of these rumours,” he added.
