Abu Dhabi: Since applying for and renewal of employees’ ID cards has become the responsibility of employers, they can save the Dh30 typing fee on each application very soon thanks to a new online system.
“Emirates ID will soon introduce [probably this month] a new simple online application system that will help employers process their employees’ ID cards,” a top official told Gulf News on Sunday.
If an employer or individual opens a new account on the user-friendly system he or she can process any number of applications, Dr Ali Al Khoury, Director General of Emirates ID, said.
He said employers or anybody else who uses the system can save the Dh30 typing fee, otherwise charged by typing centres, but they should not charge others.
