Abu Dhabi: On behalf of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, new members of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council were sworn in yesterday before General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, at Al Mushrif Palace.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, and other shaikhs and senior officials.
Shaikh Mohammad stressed Shaikh Khalifa’s keenness to develop all comprehensive government services to reach the highest levels of performance, and thereby enhance the competitiveness of the emirate of Abu Dhabi, and achieve the aspirations and meeting the needs of Emiratis.
Shaikh Mohammad told the members that they are tasked with the huge responsibility of meeting the expectations of Shaikh Khalifa in driving forward the wheels of sustainable development and launching effective initiatives.
The members vowed to work with dedication to carry out the directives of Shaikh Khalifa and serve the UAE and its people.
The members sworn in before Shaikh Mohammad were Saeed Eid Al Gafli, Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs; Ali Majid Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development; Dr Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Education Council; and Mohammad Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Deputy General Commander of Abu Dhabi Police.
