Abu Dhabi: A spectacular musical titled “How Lucky is My Nation” will be held in Abu Dhabi on December 2, to mark the UAE’s 43rd National Day.

The national operetta will be held under the patronage of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

The operetta will be performed by the Abu Dhabi Musical Band at the Cultural Programmes and Heritage Festivals Committee who will present performances highlighting the nation’s glory amid a prevailing atmosphere of national sentiments and values of sacrifice.

The event is designed to celebrate the spirt of the union for the country’s glorious national occasion and to demonstrate the joy of the UAE people on this red letter day.

It also aims to highlight the landmark achievements and great developments achieved through more than four decades under the country’s wise leadership.

The celebration will include a military parade by the first batch of national service recruits, who have recently completed the basic training in a show of national loyalty and the spirit of sacrifice demonstrated by the recruits who are a source of pride for the UAE people and leadership.

It will include a symbolic military parade of some modern weapons, equipment and machinery of different kinds of land, sea and air weapons and aid defence systems, which recently entered into service.

The grand celebration will also include a variety of cultural and heritage activities and practices related to customs and traditions so as to preserve the national identity and strengthen both human and social bonds.

Popular folklore performances and traditional dances will also be performed bye Emirati artists to project the true image of the UAE’s rich heritage and its national identity.
