Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Wednesday unveiled the five star plaque at the Ministry of Education’s service centre in Dubai. Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, and Humaid Mohammad Obaid Al Qutami, Minister of Education, were present.

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday unveiled the five star plaque at the Ministry of Education’s service centre in Dubai.

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, and Humaid Mohammad Obaid Al Qutami, Minister of Education, were present.

The centre received a five-star rating in the recently launched rating system, which gauges the quality and standard of services provided by government bodies to the public.

Shaikh Mohammad said that other centres can learn from government bodies who have received a five-star rating, because all governmental work teams are one team. He said that the teams should learn from one another, and compete to achieve the interests of the UAE government.

Shaikh Mohammad said that the field of education deserves to receive five-star rated services from the ministry, and he indicated the tangible development recently witnessed in the ministry. He then toured the centre which provides 12 services and was able to complete 11,000 applications and transactions in 2013. The centre also received 14,000 telephone inquiries.

Shaikh Mohammad personally thanked the centre’s staff for their efforts, and praised their diligence in developing their services, which have all been made available on smartphone applications. He pointed out that true success is achieved through the determination to continuously improve. He urged them to never stop or despair in their efforts to improve, because that would be considered a failure. He said that continuous development is the only guarantee for progress, achieving objectives and serving the nation and its citizens.

Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and other senior officials were also present.
