Mohammad shares memories
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday took members of the Cabinet on a boat trip in the Gulf of Oman.

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday took members of the Cabinet on a boat trip in the Gulf of Oman.
It provided an opportunity for the ministers to remember the past generations and their deep-rooted bond with the sea.
The trip followed a Cabinet meeting held yesterday at the rest house, in the east coast village of Dadna and reflects the desire of the leadership to promote and to preserve the country's rich historic and cultural heritage.
Dadna harbour
During the voyage, Shaikh Mohammad and his ministerial team exchanged memories about fishing, swimming and other marine-based activities.
Shaikh Mohammad yesterday also visited the fishermen's harbour in Dadna.
He met with national fishermen who briefed him on their requirements of boats and equipment as well as of an appropriate headquarters for their society to be located on the harbour whose berth accommodates more than 120 boats.
Shaikh Mohammad promised to meet the fishermen's needs and provide them with the all necessary requirements that help them develop their profession and preserve it as it was the profession of the forefathers.
Shaikh Mohammad instructed Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works, to swiftly meet the fishermen's needs and provide them with their requirements, especially the building of new premises for their society.
During his visit, Shaikh Mohammad inspected the harbour and the berthing boats and said that Emirati fishermen must get special attention from the government. The fishermen thanked Shaikh Mohammad for his visit.
