Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai on Saturday received Mehdi Jomaa, Tunisian Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, Shaikh Mohammad and his guest discussed bilateral relations between the two countries in the areas of investment, tourism and trade.

Jomaa also briefed Shaikh Mohammad regarding the overall security, political, economic, and the Tunisian government’s efforts in combatting extremism and establishing stability amidst the Tunisian community.

Shaikh Mohammad stressed the UAE’s stand with the Tunisian people and assisting them to overcome the security instability, living and social hardships, and expressing his hope that the Tunisian internal scene return to its cultural, tourism, and economic openness.

On his part, the Tunisian prime minister expressed his government’s high regard of the UAE’s stands and support, noting that his country is in dire need for additional backing to overcome its economic crisis.

The meeting was attended by Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of Development and International Cooperation, Mohammad Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and other senior officials.
